Quan Ut Ut is making ales, although in very small quantity. They are only able to release about 12 bottles a day at there current capacity. They will soon be carrying a beer called platinum, which is also an ale. It has been made in HCMC for some time now, but only exported to Australia. Not sold locally. They don't have a brewery at the moment. They commission another company to make it for them, bringing their grain and hops pre mixed as to avoid any recipe theft. I think that there will be a rise in ales in the near future. Hopeful

Quan Ut Ut is at 168 Vo Van Kiet, District 1. Talk to Mark. He's the guy behind the grill. Very nice guy. Try the food too if you like BBQ. Very good.

Hi Just been in Saigon for the weekend and found a great shop selling beers - mostly Belgian beers too. Shop was on Le Lai, in between Nguyễn Văn Tráng and Nguyễn Thị Nghĩa. They had quite a range that I've not seen elsewhere in supermarkets.
